About the Role:

• Starting date: late September
• 10-12h a week, shift from 5h to 6h a day.
• Experience preferred but not necessary.
• Responsibilities to include taking orders, preparing and serving drinks, serving food, liaising with kitchen staff and management, and maintaining good standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Some solo working may also be necessary during quiet periods so the knowledge and confidence to be able to work alone from time to time is essential.

About the Ancient Mariner:
We are a recently refurbished community pub in Poets Corner, just off Portland Road and next to Aldrington train station, with a small, friendly team, a growing reputation, a relaxed and welcoming environment, and an eclectic programme of workshops and live music. Going into the busier winter season we ar looking for two new part-time members of bar staff to support us at key trading times (evenings and weekends).
