Location – Cheltenham (Central)

About You
You are someone who thoroughly enjoys working with CAD, you enjoy the satisfaction that comes with watching something you’ve designed get built from the ground up and become a fully functioning piece of hardware or site. With great experience in an electrical CAD setting previously, you will feel comfortable working with engineers and like-minded people in a focused and interesting environment. Most importantly of all, you are someone who believes that exceptional results are the inevitable outcome of hard work and self improvement.
What will I spend My time on at Noriker?
  • Work with the engineering team to design and develop electrical, electromechanical and mechanical CAD drawings for full system installations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the requirements for control systems, LV electrical sub-systems, and HV/EHV electrical distribution systems
  • Support engineering and project teams with general drawing requirements for mechanical design, planning and site design
  • Produce, modify and maintain technical documents for development, manufacture and installation phases
  • Create concept, detail, assembly and production designs, and assist with design calculations and analysis
  • Promote the use of efficient workflows on all phases of the design, schematic and detailed drawings
  • Maintain a high standard of information detail, presentation and document control
  • Coordinate with and consult other engineers to design, layout, or detail components and systems, and to resolve design or other problems
  • Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems
  • Ensure compliance against relevant engineering standards and system requirements

  • Ideally degree qualified in STEM subject
  • At least 1 year of Electrical CAD experience with additional exposure to Mechanical and/or Structural CAD
  • Proficient in the use of CAD software, for instance Auto CAD and Revit
  • Experience in HV distribution systems, controls systems, and in providing design concepts to meet customer requirements is highly desirable
  • Excellent standards and work methodologies
  • Strong communication skills

  • The next stage is an in-person interview with a leader from the Trading and Analytics team and Senior management, we may ask you to prepare something for this one too
  • We’ll try and get all of this done within 3 weeks
