Role Overview: Home Manager
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Home Manager to lead the daily operations of one of our care homes. As a key role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care and support for residents, meeting financial goals, and maintaining full occupancy. You must be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and well-versed in relevant legislation and regulations. Supervision of staff is also a key aspect of this role.

Pay: Up to £60,000.00 per year

Role Overview: Home Manager
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Home Manager to lead the daily operations of one of our care homes. As a key role, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality care and support for residents, meeting financial goals, and maintaining full occupancy. You must be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and well-versed in relevant legislation and regulations. Supervision of staff is also a key aspect of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide direction and support to the care team, fostering a culture of kindness and empathy.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and retain skilled care professionals committed to delivering person-centered care.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the home meets all CQC standards and maintains excellent care quality.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the home’s budget, control costs, and achieve financial targets.
- Marketing and Occupancy: Develop and implement strategies to maintain full occupancy and promote the home’s services.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build positive relationships with residents, families, and stakeholders, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Administrative Management: Ensure timely and efficient completion of administrative tasks and record-keeping.
- Performance Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the home’s performance, making necessary improvements.
- Risk Management: Ensure a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.
- Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a Home Manager or in a similar leadership role within the care sector.
- CQC Registration: Current or previous registration with the CQC.
- Communication: Excellent skills in building relationships with residents, families, staff, and stakeholders.
- Leadership: Strong ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a care team.
- Financial Management: Proficient in budget management and financial oversight.
- Legislative Knowledge: Familiarity with CQC standards and relevant regulations.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of working under pressure and managing multiple tasks.
- Administrative Skills: Strong IT, organizational, and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Passion: Committed to delivering exceptional care and support to residents.
- Managerial Experience: Proven track record in managing a successful care home, ideally with a nursing qualification.
- CQC Registration: Current or previous registration with the CQC.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Up-to-date understanding of care sector regulations and best practices.
