Care Team Leader

We are looking for a Care Team Leader who care about making every moment matter for the people we support. Due to growth, we have several positions focused on supporting people to live in and be part of the local community. Our residential service is about helping people to get out in the community and make the most of their time at home.
Position: Care Team Leader (Supported Living Services)
Salary: £14.92 per hour
Location: Supported Living Services in Middlesbrough.
Hours: Full time: 40 hours per week available, day & night shifts on a rota basis (12 hour shifts)

About our service
A supported living service located in an attractive and peaceful setting, we can support up to 7 people with a range of support needs including learning disabilities, autism and other complex care.
This role with be split between 2 supported living care homes in Middlesbrough, while also supporting with the growth of new services.
About you
Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people in a way which respects their dignity?
You will need to be adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills and able to work as part of our team. In addition, it is desirable to have:
  • Previous experience supporting people with learning disabilities and behaviors that challenge.
  • Opportunity for someone to grow their skills and experience within the supported living services.
  • Have exposure to opening new services in the area.
  • Working in a dynamic environment.
  • Hold or willing to work towards a Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Ideal candidate have experience within a supervisory role.
  • Hold a valid drivers licence.

The Role
  • To provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
  • Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
  • Facilitating social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
  • General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
  • As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.

Experience:
  • Supervising: 1 year (preferred)
  • leading a shift: 1 year (preferred)
