Job Title: CMM Programmer

Walker Group provides advanced high-precision manufacturing services from centres of excellence located in the UK and Poland. Due to ongoing demand, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Basildon facility as a CMM Programmer.
This is a senior position. The candidate must have the ability to work on complex products and liaise with cross functional teams both internally and externally.
CMM Programmer Requirements:

• Experience of PC DMIS or Calypso software
• Produce, update, maintain CMM programs, under minimal supervision
• Interpret engineering drawings and understand GD&T
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques
• Production of first article reports, AS9102
• Gage R&R verification
• In-process inspection development & implementation
• Identify fixture requirements to improve inspection repeatability
• Comfortable working within both office & shopfloor environments
• Ability to provide support information to manufacturing
• Use of a range of manual inspection equipment
• Excellent communication skills. Must be a team player

CMM Programmer Desirable Experience:

• Familiar with ERP/MRP systems
• Knowledge of aerospace materials and surface treatments
• Produce estimates of inspection programming times
• Experience of NPI
• Control plan creation
• Gage R&R
• Working knowledge CAD software
