Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organisation adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance management, regulatory reporting, and the ability to conduct internal audits effectively. The Compliance Manager will work closely with various departments to foster a culture of compliance and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and operations, to ensure compliance across all business units.
- Monitor changes in regulations affecting the organisation and provide guidance on necessary adjustments to policies or practices.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance-related matters, fostering an understanding of compliance requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies during audits or inspections.
Experience
- Proven experience in compliance management, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements and internal audit processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex compliance issues clearly and effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
