Are you a Content Specialist with an eye for writing engaging, on-brand copy designed to rank well across search engines?
The Demand Generation Team is looking for a dedicated Content Specialist ready to support some of the biggest brands across the UK with bespoke and exciting copy. We’re looking for someone who understands how to catch a reader’s interest and support our client’s wider marketing goals.
Based out of the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, one of the top spots in the city for digital marketing, this role offers plenty of opportunities to flex your writing skills - DGT has a range of clients across various sectors, meaning you won’t be stuck writing the same old stodgy copy each day.
Our ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, experience in writing to deadlines and an understanding of how to adopt a brand’s tone of voice.
While this is primarily a content-first role, we’d love to take someone on with a passion for all things SEO. If you can deliver a well-written story but you’re also interested in ensuring it gets to the right people, you’re perfect.
Agency experience is preferred but if you fit the points mentioned above, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Below is a breakdown of the different responsibilities and experiences we’d love to see:

• Creating short-form (>800) and long-form content (800<) based on the needs of the client
• An understanding of the content being digital-first (H1/2, metadata etc)
• Developing content strategies based on both client and in-house activity
• Utilising SEO-led keyword data to shape your content for organic search
• Working cross-channel, supporting social and paid channels with content
• Strong grammatical, research and comprehension skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and feed into a multi-channel marketing plan
• Ability to research unknown topics and write effective content that differs to competitors

Preferred:

• Understanding of technical SEO - how Schema and internal linking can support SEO
• Experience with SEO tools such as SEMRush, Moz and SERanking
• Experiencing in distributing content for backlinking opportunities
• Visual-led content creation in terms of infographics/PDFs
• Understanding of CMS systems such as Wordpress/Squarespace for page creation
