Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Courier Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods to various locations, ensuring that all items are handled with care. This role requires excellent communication skills, a valid driving licence, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Duties

• Safely drive a van or similar vehicle to deliver packages and documents to designated locations.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Load and unload items, ensuring that all goods are secured properly during transit.
• As delivery driver you will have to make 80-100 deliveries per day.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks before and after each shift to ensure safety and reliability.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and obtaining signatures when required. You will have to use your own mobile device for proof of delivery and for navigation.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Assist in the warehouse as needed, including sorting packages and preparing items for delivery.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 30 kg) safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with team members and customers.
• Familiarity with local roads and routes is beneficial.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service excellence.
