Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
- Provide high-quality patient care by reassuring patients and addressing their concerns before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using IT systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Sterilise instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment areas to uphold infection control protocols.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively to optimise clinic operations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Collaborate with other dental professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to patient treatment.
Skills
- Qualified nurse with experience in orthodontics essential
- Sedation qualification desirable for inhalation sedation
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Strong IT skills for managing patient records and utilising dental software efficiently.
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
- A genuine passion for patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
