The Academy:
Waterhead Academy is an 11-16, non-selective academy for 1500 students. The academy replaced predecessors Breeze Hill and Counthill Schools in 2010, is situated in a state of the art build on the outskirts of Oldham and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The academy is located a 10 minute walk away from the metro link, with 20 minute ride to Central Manchester. The school offers state of the art facilities in a £24 million pound complex and offers a wide range of bespoke teacher and leadership packages for colleagues through our professional partnerships. The Trust:
Waterhead Academy is a partner of the South Pennine Acadamies Trust. The Trust has 6 partner Academies, this number will grow to 7 in 2017, has a Teaching School within the Pennine Teaching School Alliance and also features a National Support School. The Trust also operates a SCITT.
