Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Management: Assist the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing home, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and delivering the highest level of care.
• Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and support the nursing team, including staff nurses, carers, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and compassionate working environment.
• Clinical Care: Provide hands-on clinical leadership as an RGN, RMN, or RNLD, ensuring that person-centered care is delivered to residents with dignity and respect.
• Care Planning: Work closely with staff nurses and the wider care team to develop, implement, and review individual care plans, ensuring they meet the needs of residents with complex medical conditions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all staff adhere to regulatory requirements, such as medication administration, care documentation, and health & safety standards within the nursing home.
• Staff Development: Participate in the recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development of nursing staff, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
• Resident & Family Liaison: Maintain excellent communication with residents and their families, ensuring their concerns are addressed and their satisfaction is maintained.
• Managerial Support: Act as the Manager in their absence, ensuring the smooth running of the nursing home.

Key Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD): Must be a registered nurse with a valid NMC pin and previous experience in a nursing home or similar setting.
• Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role, such as a Deputy Manager or Senior Staff Nurse, is essential.
• Strong Clinical Skills: Proven expertise in delivering high standards of clinical care and knowledge of complex conditions common within nursing home environments.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to lead the team and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage a busy workload, prioritize tasks, and ensure the smooth running of care services.
