Job Overview
We are looking for someone to support our Site Manager in the smooth running of Flamstead Filling Station and our neighbouring Watling Street Truckstop.
Reopened earlier this year as SPAR Flamstead, our Filling Station provides an essential service to passing motorists and a retail shop selling a range of consumer goods for passing motorists and local residents alike.
Just next door, our Truckstop offers overnight parking and facilities for HGV drivers along with a fuel bunkering service and a small shop selling snacks and drinks as well as essential items to help keep trucks on the road.
Located just off Junction 9 of the M1, we are conventiently located for Luton, St. Albans and the surrounding motorway network.
Duties

• Support the Site Manager in ensuring that the site acheives budgeted profits and margins whilst remaining competitive to attract trade.
• Recruit, onboard and motivate colleagues to ensure the site operates smoothly, supporting the Site Manager in People Management as required.
• Deliver ongoing training to colleagues.
• Ensuring that high standards of cleanliness and health and safety are maintained at all times and that all relevant company procedures are followed.
• Ensuring that the retail areas are fully stocked and correctly presented and that products are correctly priced and displayed.

Skills

• Previous relevant experience in petrol station management.
• Good communication and people management skills.
• Flexible regarding working hours and duties.
• Previou experience of fuel bunkering would be an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
