Job Summary
NPE is seeking a skilled and motivated Electronics Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in repairing and maintaining electronic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities
- PCB Repair and Maintenance:
- Expertly solder and rework PCB boards using advanced repair techniques.
- Perform repair services on various PCB types, including single-phase and three-phase circuits.
- Skilled in the repair and service of single-phase and three-phase circuit boards.
- Technical Troubleshooting:
- Read, interpret, and translate PCB diagrams and schematics for effective troubleshooting and repair.
- Diagnose and resolve issues at the component level to ensure equipment functionality.
- Component Knowledge:
- Utilise in-depth knowledge of electronic components such as SMT/SMD, PTH, power MOSFETs, IGBTs, and thyristors.
- Comprehensive experience in repairing and servicing switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), both single-phase and three-phase, as well as other high-voltage PCB boards.
- Repair and service switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) and other high-voltage PCB boards.
- Work closely with team members to support project goals.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
This is a full-time on-site role for an Electronic Engineering Technician. The technician will be responsible for performing various tasks related to electronic engineering, including :
Qualifications
- Eligibility:
- Must be a UK resident with a valid work permit.
- Education:
- Degree or certification in Electronic Engineering (Diploma of Higher Education preferred).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in electronic repair, preferably within the industrial electronics sector.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Electronic Engineering.
- Proficient with test equipment and conducting tests on electronic systems.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Preferred:
- Full UK driver’s license.
- Salary: £24,000.00 - £29,000.00 per year
- Additional Pay: Performance bonus opportunities
- Hours: Monday to Friday,,{ 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM]
- Location: On-site at our facility in Newcastle Upon Tyne
