Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring that all financial aspects are considered. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control measures and the ability to analyse various factors that influence project costs.
Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects based on specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation.
• Conduct thorough analysis of labour, materials, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimates.
• Monitor project budgets and provide recommendations for cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labour rates to enhance estimating accuracy.
• Prepare reports and presentations on estimated costs for management review.

Skills

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent mathematical abilities for precise calculations.
• Proficiency in cost control methodologies and practices.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Familiarity with estimating software and tools is advantageous but not essential.
