Fashion Designer
CONTRACT

We are seeking a creative and innovative Fashion Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong aesthetic sense and the ability to translate trends into unique designs that resonate with our target audience. This role requires a blend of artistic vision and technical skills, including proficiency in digital design tools. The Fashion Designer will collaborate closely with other team members to develop collections that reflect our brand's identity and values.
Responsibilities
- Develop original clothing designs from concept through to final production, ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and consumer preferences.
- Create detailed sketches and technical drawings using CAD software and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Collaborate with pattern makers, seamstresses, and other production staff to ensure designs are accurately realised.
- Oversee fittings and make necessary adjustments to designs based on feedback.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate their feedback into final products.
- Maintain an organised portfolio of designs, sketches, and photographs for future reference.
- Stay updated on industry developments, materials, and techniques to enhance design quality.
- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer or in a similar role within the fashion industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with CAD software is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in graphic design, web design, and digital design techniques.
- Familiarity with photography principles for effective presentation of designs.
- Ability to sketch ideas clearly and effectively communicate concepts visually.
- Experience with 3D modelling software such as Sketchup is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- A degree in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred but not essential if experience is demonstrated.
Pay: £22.00-£28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
Additional pay:
- Performance bonus
- Flexitime
- Work from home
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
- Fashion Designer: 2 years (preferred)
