Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled General Builder to join our team on-site in Chorley. The successful candidate will begin with the installation of 100mm roof insulation covering approximately 650 m² and will be responsible for various construction tasks as needed throughout the project with a potential start date of 21st October 2024. The role demands a high level of physical fitness, attention to detail, and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install 100mm roof insulation over a 650 m² area.
• Carry out general building tasks such as brickwork, joinery, etc required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ensure work is performed to industry standards and complies with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other site workers to ensure the smooth and timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly handled.
• Adhere to site safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
• Report any issues or potential delays to the site manager.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a General Builder or in a similar construction role.
• Experience with roof insulation installation is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks involving lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
• Valid CSCS card (preferred).
• Owns their tools and PPE, preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Hourly Rate: £18.00 - £23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend work, if required.
• Free on-site parking.
