An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grain Planner to join our Grain Trading team based in Berwick upon Tweed. This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Overall purpose of the role:

• To act as a link between the grain trading team and transport.
• The role will be part of the Grain Team and will act as a support function to the traders and for grain admin.

Key activities:

• Planning movement of grain between supplier and customer within appropriate timescales.
• Receiving and processing customer orders.
• Liaising with growers, customers, stores and hauliers to ensure smooth logistical operations.
• Maintaining stocks internally and for customers.
• Managing the team logistics email box.
• Handling claims and rejections.
• Creating purchase and sales contracts – contract input.
• Assisting traders in monitoring monthly position.
• Creating and maintaining spreadsheets to support the wider trading team.
• Maintaining records and files, handling customer and business information in compliance with the organisation’s procedures.
• General administration duties; filing, mail, answering telephone calls and dealing with customer queries.
