Group Head Chef

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our kitchen teams in delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food preparation and a deep understanding of food safety standards.
As the Group Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner, while fostering a positive and collaborative environment within the team.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will most likely be a wild card brimming with passion and energy who can demonstrate fight and determination to overcome the challenges that hospitality faces in a tough economic and political climate.
The role is far from 9-5. It is fully hands-on, leading, training and raising the standards of every dish in every site whilst working with teams to pass on the skill, passion and energy that is required.
We can guarantee that it is a challenge ~ 6 hours between our farthest locations means that travel away from home will be the norm, however, if you succeed the rewards will be worth the blood sweat and tears.
Applicants must have a full driving license, be in possession of RTW documents for the UK, have a perfect grasp of written and oral English and be fully conversant with all legislation, stock control and kitchen management processes.

As the Group Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner, while fostering a positive and collaborative environment within the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen teams, ensuring efficient operation and high standards of food quality.
- Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to best practice, standardised recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations.
- Work with the senior team to create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences across all venues
- Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and knowledge, taking into account industry wide shortages of skilled people as well as budgets
- Collaborate with senior management and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste.
- Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements where necessary to enhance efficiency.
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire others.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the capability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is essential.
