Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef (south Indian cuisine) to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality culinary creations. If you have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and a creative flair, we would love to hear from you.
Sponsorship option only after 3-4 months based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support
- Plan and develop menus that align with our culinary vision and customer preferences (South Indian/ Kerala cuisine)
- Oversee food production, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Train new kitchen staff members on proper cooking techniques and procedures
- Collaborate with management to develop new recipes and menu items
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into menu planning
- Maintain a positive working relationship with staff members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the South Indian culinary industry
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation
- Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Proficient in supervising kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
