Beacon High has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Head of Humanities to join and lead our developing, friendly and collaborative faculty from January or April 2025.
The successful candidate will help us to achieve our vision: Believe, Belong, Become - Where Dreams Inspire Futures; they will play a crucial role in enabling our KS3 and 4 students to achieve their potential and prepare them for the next stage in their learning and development.

- You have the ability and drive to make a positive impact on students’ progress and outcomes
- You have the drive to further develop the learning experience in humanities and are dedicated to raising standards even further for all students
- Are committed to building rapport with our students from the get-go and engage them in your subject
- Can lead and inspire an established and successful team of professionals
- Have the resilience, drive, strength of character and sense of both humour and perspective to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding and ambitious environment
- Have current experience as a Head of Humanities or Second in Department
