A well-qualified, dedicated and inspiring teacher is required from 6 January 2025 to lead our successful and forward-looking department, teaching up to Year 13, including A Level Further Maths., in our School that has been judged to be ‘excellent’ in every way.
Founded in 1906, Leicester High School provides education in our Junior Department of approximately 115 girls aged 3 – 9 years and our Senior School of approximately 250 girls aged 10-18 years. This post is based in the Senior School.
Our small size means everyone is someone at LHS and we pride ourselves on our family feel and excellent academic education. We specialise in bringing out the very best in girls aged 3 to 18 and our School philosophy of Education, Confidence and Opportunity is key to all we do, from our Early Years to our outstanding Sixth Form.
All LHS staff contribute towards the goal of providing a supportive, challenging and fun environment which enables our girls to achieve their potential.
We seek a well-qualified, enthusiastic, inspirational and highly motivated teacher who is able to lead, develop and support pupils in their teaching of Maths. The subject is offered at both GCSE and A Level, as well as A Level Further Mathematics, and our examination results are excellent. The extracurricular contribution to School life is essential in this role.
Your passion for your subject will be clear to the students and you will have an ability to build, develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with all students, parents and colleagues alike.

Leicester High School is a well established day school for girls located on a beautiful site, near to Leicester racecourse. The School has been based on this site for over 100 years, close to the shops and restaurants of leafy Stoneygate. Our location is well connected with excellent road links and just two miles from Leicester train station.
Founded in 1906 as Portland House School, we now comprises a Junior Department of approximately 100 girls (3-9 years) and a Senior School of approximately 250 girls (10-18) sited on the same campus.
