We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
• Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team in English.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
• Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
• Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes within the care environment.
• Foster a warm and supportive atmosphere that promotes residents' emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to understand and follow care plans effectively.
• A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when necessary.
• Basic IT skills for documentation and communication within the role.
• A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £11.74 per hour
