Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of those they care for.
Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to provide updates on client progress and needs.
• Drive to various locations as required to provide home care services.

Experience

• Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with IT systems for record-keeping and communication is advantageous.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• A valid driving licence is desirable for roles that require travel between client locations.
• A caring attitude with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients is essential.
