Introduction and Overall purpose of the role
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team caring for a young man (JF) with a traumatic brain injury, living in his own home. We are a small setup with 10 staff that attend to JF’s living needs. We now require a care manager/Team-leader to pull everything together to make the house run smoothly and to add continuity between all sections of the care package. A big part of this role is putting processes in place, so the package run efficiently. We realise that the successful candidate won’t have all the skills mentioned below as we know this is quite a bespoke setup. However, this vacancy would suit someone from a care or medical setting.
Key responsibilities
You will be expected to run with the care package making sure everything ties in and works smoothly. This will include staff training, H&S and assure all the relevant associated paperwork is updated and concurrent. You will work closely with the care co-ordinator, and there will be times when you will be called upon to assist in recruitment and expected to work with JF’s Professionals and organise recreational activities. This vacancy involves working closely with the co-ordinator/Family and will be expected to be in the workplace approximately 4/5 days a week.
This vacancy would suit someone with good organizational skills that can think logically, and is good at putting new processes in place and running with them. As all industries, most of our admin work is digitally based and therefore the applicant must have basic computer skills using all the usual software packages ie Excel, Word etc.
Below is a additional list of expected responsibilities:
Management of operational processes and systems including house rules and boundaries.
Responsible for stock control of medication and equipment and keeping on top of ordering as appropriate.
Management of JF’s day to day diary, including overseeing medical appointments, liaise with Health and Social Care professionals, social engagements and vehicle maintenance

Pay: £17.00 per hour
