HR Intern

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Intern to join our dynamic HR team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources while supporting our organisational goals. Our goal is to successfully foster the children's ability to think critically and logically meanwhile prepare for school entrance exams.
We’re a motivated and hard-working team located at our office in Canary Wharf, London.
Duties
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies and screening applications.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and filed accurately.
- Conduct data entry tasks related to employee records within our Human Resources Information System and other databases.
- Help manage social media platforms to promote job openings and enhance employer branding.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling interviews and coordinating training sessions.
- Assist in maintaining employee files and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
- Participate in various HR projects as assigned, contributing ideas and insights to improve processes.
- Work with payment team from HQ in China and payroll vendor based in the UK regarding staff members' payroll and pension matters on a monthly basis
- Work with Teaching Management Department in the UK and payment team from HQ in China regarding tutoring fee calculation and payment matters on a monthly basis
- Work with finance and payment team from HQ in China regarding HC & costs forecast on a monthly basis
- Function as Level 2 user in the Sponsor Management System (SMS), assist with the management of the sponsor license, certificate of sponsorship (Co S) and work visa application with support from immigration advisors when necessary
- Work with department heads on staff performance review and promotion when applicable
- In charge of staff leaving and handover when applicable
- Work with department heads to manage staff attendance & leave, company asset distribution and organise celebrities for staff members' big days, e.g. birthday, work anniversary or other occasions
- Attend Think Global HR meetings & trainings
- Assist with business visit arrangement (issue invitation letter for visa application, organise accommodation and transportation service etc. ) for leaders or colleagues from HQ in China
- Other ad hoc duties, e.g. provide staff reference letter upon requests
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably from HR related subject.
- A basic understanding of human resources principles and practices is preferred but not essential.
- Preferably with relevant working experience in HR related roles in the UK or qualified in CIPD, but not compulsory.
- Full mastery of English and Chinese.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Willing to join an entrepreneurial team and able to work under pressure, take initiative, and determined.
- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willing to take on more responsibilities and confident in becoming a business partner for Think Academy in the future.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A punctual and responsible person.
- Strong desire to help others.
- Eligible to work in the UK during the internship.
- Full-time internship
- 6 months (November 2024 - April 2025)
- Full-time parmanent contract can be offered for suitable candidate
- Internship Allowance: £1,600 - 2,300 per month based on background and experience;
- Full-time Permanent: Basic Salary of £2,300 - 3,300 per month, plus performance bonus. Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship can be organised for suitable candidates.
