We are an upcoming restaurant located close to Birmingham International Airport, offering an exquisite dining experience with a focus on authentic Indian cuisine. We pride ourselves on our traditional recipes, fresh ingredients, and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a talented and experienced Indian Cuisine Chef with exceptional grill skills to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Pay: £22,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

- Prepare and cook a wide variety of Indian dishes, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation.
- Utilize grilling techniques to prepare tandoori dishes, kebabs, and other grilled items.
- Develop and refine recipes to maintain the authenticity of Indian flavors.
- Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Oversee and train kitchen staff, ensuring consistent food quality and presentation.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Collaborate with the management team to create and update the menu, incorporating seasonal and customer preferences.
- Monitor food preparation processes and adjust recipes as needed to ensure top quality and consistency.
- Handle and resolve customer feedback and complaints professionally.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a chef specialising in Indian cuisine, with a strong background in grilling techniques.
- Grill Skills: Expertise in using tandoors, grills, and other relevant equipment to prepare a variety of grilled dishes.
- Culinary Certification: A formal culinary qualification from a recognised institution is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of traditional Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques.
- Creativity: Ability to develop new recipes and innovate while preserving the authenticity of Indian flavours.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on food presentation and quality control.
- Leadership: Proven experience in managing and training kitchen staff.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hygiene and Safety: Thorough understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations in the UK.
- Flexibility: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Customer Focus: Strong commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our customers.
