Job Description
The Junior TSR Associate is responsible for ensuring that data supplied from retailers is reported back in an accurate and timely manner to all clients.
They will work closely with the Data In, Data Out and Commercial teams to ensure the above process works effectively, They will play a key role in highlighting, investigating and correcting issues with the aim of ensuring that the data that is reported is accurate and relevant.
Key Requirements
Data Analyst – the key part of the job will be to check weekly reports based on sales data from key high street retailers. The successful candidate will be expected to study and investigate any sales data that looks atypical and determine whether it is correct or not. They will work with the team to ensure data is run through the quality control processes according to the best practices and Gf K schedules. They will be expected to sign off weekly data within a daily period so that reports can be dispatched to clients on time. In order to investigate the sales data, they will need to use Gf K internal systems and tools.
Query handler – the successful candidate will need to be able to handle all data queries (internal and external) relating to the report they are working, ensuring any data queries are handled as per the Gf K best practices via the Operations Helpdesk. They will need to feedback their findings in a timely and accurate manner.
Numerical – as most of the candidate's time will be spent investigating sales data, it is imperative that they are comfortable working with large numerical data sets. They should be comfortable calculating growth and decline percentages as well as percentage shares. They should be comfortable using Microsoft Excel. (To the level that they can create pivot tables, VLOOKUP's
Knowledge of the UK Retail Sector – The candidate will be working with sales data from all the major UK High Street retailers. Therefore, an understanding of the UK retail scene is recommended. The successful candidate will work with the internal teams for Data In and Retail World to ensure that a) data is delivered and processed to agreed schedules and best practices, b) problems in the processing are identified, investigated and corrected within the available time period. They will be required to build market and product knowledge on all related products and panels.
Process Administration – The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of all documentation and best practices relating to TSR reporting and will adhere to contractual data confidentiality agreements.
Skills and Experience

- A "can do" attitude and flexible approach is essential
- Highly proficient within Microsoft Office suite of tools, Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point & Teams, particularly data manipulation within Excel and Access
