Senior Accountant
Waterlooville – Hybrid – Modern firm
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ACCA / ACA qualified Senior Accountant to join a well-established and rapidly growing accountancy practice in Waterlooville.
This is a superb opportunity to lead a growing team as they start to expand and increase their client list. You will be ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 5 years’ experience working in a similar UK based accountancy practice.

Requirements:
- ACCA / ACA Qualified.
- Recent experience working in a similar UK based accountancy practice.
- Experience managing a portfolio of varied limited company, sole trader, and partnership clients.
- Experience overseeing the preparation of year end accounts, VAT returns, corporation tax, and personal tax self-assessment.
- Ideally you will have experience managing a small team but candidates who have mentored junior staff will also be considered.
- Experience reviewing the work of junior accountants.
- Client facing experience with the ability to conduct account review meetings.
- To be the senior accountant within a team of 4-5 accountants.
- Mentor junior staff and review the preparation of year end accounts from trainee accountants.
- Lead a small team, managing the workflow and ensuring that deadlines are met.
- Liaising with clients, conducting account review meetings and being first point of contact for all client enquiries / queries.
- Oversee the preparation of year end accounts and the associated tax.
- Complete the preparation of year end accounts and associated tax for a limited number of complex clients.
