Lead Therapy Radiographer

The Role:
As the Lead Therapy Radiographer, you will lead and develop the service to ensure that all operational objectives and standards are achieved, and excellent customer treatment and service is always delivered. You will be comfortable managing people and delivering processes innovation, with the drive and tenacity to ensure that excellence is achieved while maintaining positive relationships. What You'll Do:
- Lead the radiotherapy service at the designated Genesis Care treatment centre, ensuring all operational standards are met and maintaining the company’s reputation for exceptional patient outcomes and service quality.
- Oversee and support both clinical and non-clinical team members in delivering high-quality care to all radiotherapy patients, ensuring a seamless experience through the patient journey.
- Liaise closely with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver integrated patient care, fostering strong communication and collaboration across all functions.
- Adhere to and enforce all Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards of conduct, performance, and proficiency, ensuring compliance across all professional and operational activities.
- Ensure that team members are equipped with appropriate training and skills, fostering a continuous learning environment to enhance team effectiveness and patient care.
- Enforce compliance with clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to uphold safety and quality standards, including equipment operation and radiation protection.
- Guarantee that patients consistently receive the highest levels of care and service, upholding Genesis Care’s standards for excellence in patient experience.
- Monitor clinical audits, radiation protection, and quality assurance measures, handling any incidents or complaints with thorough investigation and safeguarding to prevent recurrence.
- Engage in continuous professional development and improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of Genesis Care services and participating actively in clinical forums.
Experience and skills:
- Able to demonstrate significant post qualification experience
- Experience within all aspects of radiotherapy; quality assurance, pre-treatment and treatment
- Evidence of effective management of staff and co-operative working
- Evidence of empathetic and a holistic approach to patient care
- Good experience with resolving complaints satisfactorily
- Sound understanding of governance
- A wide range of clinical skills
- Evidence of effective leadership
- Evidence of effective organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Able to make independent judgments/decisions, ability to solve problems
- Able to work flexibly to achieve Genesis Care business objectives
- Able to act as a trainer and mentor for staff being managed
- DCR (DR) or BSc (Hons) in Therapy Radiography
- Working towards or having MSc would be favourable
- HCPC registration
- Evidence of continuing professional development

Pay: £50,000.00-£58,800.00 per year
