Paralegal – Actions Against the Police and Public Bodies (Re-train opportunity)
HNK Solicitors are a Lexcel accredited, leading law firm in the area of civil actions against the police and public authorities, data protection and victims of crime/abuse cases.
We are looking for an experienced paralegal to join our expanding civil actions against the police team. Re-train positions are also offered for a paralegal with a strong civil litigation background of at least 2 years and full training will be provided.
The role will involve assisting our solicitors and partners on actions against the police and public bodies for matters including unlawful arrest, false imprisonment, human rights breaches, malicious prosecution, misfeasance in public office and judicial review proceedings. Full training will be provided for a re-train candidate.
Immediate start dates are available for this role.
Requirements -

• At least 2 years of experience in assisting on a caseload of civil litigation
• Excellent knowledge of the CPR and pre-action disclosure procedure
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to conduct own research
• Experienced in using a case management systems such as Proclaim
• Excellent IT skills
