Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer / Production Engineer/ Process or Industrial Engineer looking for a move into a challenging and dynamic role, within a well established manufacturing site, part of a multinational group of companies?
As one of the Alfagomma Group companies, Argus Sunderland design and manufacture a range of top quality hydraulic and industrial components and products, for distribution all over the world. Our core expertise is in mild and stainless steel manipulated tubes and assemblies, and welded and fabricated pipes and framework, with OEMs primarily in Agricultural and Construction Markets.

• As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in re - evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of our production processes. You will facilitate and lead improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes by studying product flow, set and run times and manufacturing methods, utilizing the combined skills and knowledge of personnel from all departments Production; Technical; Quality, Toolmaking, Maintenance, Logistics and Health and Safety.
• You will maintain the inputs to the core tool used in collating component prices for Customers quotations.
• Support Quality, Production and Health and Safety teams by implementing robust, safe engineering solutions to overcome process issues. Ensure that repeatable and cost-effective production processes are agreed and appropriately documented, eg by writing SOPs.
• Produce floor plans and work flow diagrams using Auto CAD

The role would be perfect for someone from a Manufacturing / Production background with a focus on process, such as Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Process Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, or similar. Industry training will be provided.
Qualifications / education required
Minimum HND level academic qualification in a mechanical / general engineering or manufacturing disciple
Experience required - essential
Minimum 3 years working autonomously or as part of a team in a manufacturing/production/ industrial engineering role within a low to medium semi automated manufacturing environment.
Specialist training required
· CAD ( essential)
· Standardised Working ( essential)
· Lean Manufacturing principles ( essential )
