The company
MJM are currently recruiting for experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitters for Heathrow Airport on an on-going temporary basis, for both Airside and Landside projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working and repairing baggage systems, conveyors, or material handling systems.
You will be required to cover 5 years working history within the UK to obtain an airside pass.
Mechanical Maintenance Fitter Responsibilities:
The successful Mechanical Maintenance Fitters duties will vary depending on the project/s we are running at the time but will include but won’t be limited to;

• Equipment Installations
• Preventative maintenance
• Reactive repairs
• Shutdowns
• Shift Cover

Mechanical Maintenance Fitter Background and Experience:
It is essential you meet the following criteria to be successful when applying for this Mechanical fitter role:

• Time served apprenticeship or equivalent.
• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical or electrical maintenance discipline
• Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Computer literate.

The following experience would be beneficial but is not essential for the Mechanical Maintenance Fitter positions:

• Previous FMCG, manufacturing or automated warehousing experience.
• Electrical experience.
• PLC and diagnostic experience.
• Valid CSCS Card

The successful Mechanical Maintenance Fitter will be working a minimum of 45 hours a week and must be willing to work a mixture of days/nights/weekends.
