Senior Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Use customers CAD data to produce drill file information for fixture manufacture.
- Revise and update existing specifications and drawings to incorporate requested design changes from engineering, manufacturing or quality assurance.
- Design new parts or assemblies to meet design requirements using 3D CAD systems
- To liaise with the end customer to ensure that specifications are met.
- To work with existing suppliers and source new suppliers as required.
- Support the operation of the CNC and Pacer machines as needed.
- Operate workshop equipment, i.e., lathe, mill, etc. if required
- Carry out any other task that may be required from time to time
- Educated to Degree level in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Experience in both two- and three-dimensional design software
- Experience with Solid Works or similar 3D CAD package
- Valid passport and a full driving license
- Experience in working with workshop equipment, such as lathes and mills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment
- Be self-motivated, be able to manage time and set priorities
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
- Work well under pressure
- Team player
- Ability to establish good relationships with suppliers
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements
£33,930 – £38,450 per annum depending on experience
