Paragon Home Healthcare is seeking a reliable carer for a 13-hour Waking Night Shift to support a teenage client living in an adapted flat in the Wandsworth SW18 area. The client has sustained a spinal cord injury, resulting in paralysis from the chest down.
This is an overnight position ensuring the client’s safety and well-being during the night. We are looking for a friendly and sociable carer who enjoys football and gaming and your role is crucial to ensuring client feels secure and well-supported at night.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with mobility and personal care, monitoring the client throughout the night, and being available to address any needs that arise. It is essential to remain calm, patient, and alert during night shifts.
With this client, you'll be engaged in a Rota of 3-4 or more shifts a week. Alternatively, if eligible, you can be a part of our Standby rota, working conveniently from home. To support your journey, we provide comprehensive training, equipping you to excel in your caregiving role.
Job type: Day Shift -8 PM-9 AM (13 hrs)
Pay rate: £17.40 per hour; more on bank holidays

Care Job Overview
As a Carer (sometimes referred to as a Personal Assistant), you will assist the client with daily care, activities of daily living, and mobility needs. Specific duties will be detailed in the Client's care plan and daily activities, managed through our electronic visit system. Responsibilities include personal care, spinal injury toileting, mobility support, meal preparation, and more. Comprehensive training and support are provided to ensure you can deliver the necessary care.
Responsibilities

• Arrange transportation for client appointments.

Requirements to Work with Us

• Available to work 8pm - 9am with one hour overlap with the day shift carer
