Nursery Deputy Manager
York

- Manage and supervise daily operations within the Nursery setting.
- Assist the Nursery Manager with the daily operations of the nursery, stepping into their role when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the Early Years Manager to achieve shared goals.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members to ensure quality care.
- Administer medications following proper protocols and guidelines.
- Hold a NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent in Childcare and Education for a minimum of 2 years.
- Will have experience of caring for children under 5 years old.
- Essential to have supervisory experience, for example room leader or third in charge, be willing to learn.
- Have good knowledge and understanding of how children learn and the government framework (EYFS).
- Aid in the implementation of the curriculum and advocate for our educational philosophy.
- Demonstrate a passion for working with children.
- Have a good sense of humour.
- The ideal candidate will be wanting further career progression.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that comply with regulatory standards and best practices in early childhood education.
- Promote continuous improvement and development, actively driving the setting and practices forward.
- Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children, staff, and visitors at all times.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the team to provide exceptional care and education to every child in our care.
- Serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery, taking overall responsibility for daily operations and managing safeguarding and child protection policies.
Additionally, you will focus on delivering high quality Early Years care and education, supporting your colleagues in consistently achieving the same high level of excellence.
In the absence of the Nursery Manager, you will serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, demonstrating proficiency in adhering to safeguarding policies.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
