We are looking to employ a full-time PAT tester to cover jobs across Hampshire.

We sell, repair and service commercial floor care equipment. We sell cleaning chemicals. We supply and repair white goods – fridges, freezers, washing machines, etc. We carry out PAT (portable appliance) testing for a wide range of clients along the south of England. We are an approved supplier to many local authorities and county councils, as well as various commercial buildings, FM (facilities management) and cleaning companies.

Full Job Description
- · Conduct PAT Testing at Customers’ Sites - Carry out electrical safety tests on portable appliances according to established procedures and regulations
- · Equipment Inspection - Inspect portable appliances for any signs of damage, wear, or defects that may affect electrical safety.
- · Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate records of all PAT testing activities, including test results, dates, and any necessary documentation; generate comprehensive reports detailing the condition of tested appliances and any recommended actions.
- · Compliance Assurance - Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant electrical safety regulations and standards.
- · Communication - Effectively communicate with clients and colleagues regarding testing schedules, results, and any safety concerns identified during the testing process.
- · Client Education - Provide clients with information and advice on electrical safety best practices and measures to maintain a safe working environment.
- · Follow any other reasonable request for the Management.
- · A competitive salary of £26,770 per annum
- · Full time permanent position (upon completion of probation)
- · Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 9 hours / day
- · 28 days holiday allowance, including statutory bank holidays

- · Full UK manual Driving License for a minimum of 12 months (subject to insurance requirements)
- · The flexibility to work outside core hours
- · City & Guild qualifications preferable but not essential due to full training provided
- · Have the ability to adapt to different environments and customers on a daily basis
- · Basic IT, numeracy, literacy skills and good communications skills
- · A desire to pursue a career within an electrical service industry
