Support Workers/Senior Support Workers (Team Leaders) needed for our Manchester Homes
We have homes in the St Helens, Haydock, Liverpool, Manchester and surrounding areas (North West)
We are recruiting in Full-time, Part-time roles

Arborvitae Care Services (ACS) are looking for individuals to support young people. Experience is essential. We are more than willing to provide full support and training to the right person for our team. However, there are a few qualities that we will be looking for:

· An ability to work independently while also be an effective team player
· A positive attitude to be handle challenging situations
· If you don’t already have the relevant qualification in residential child care, we are willing to invest in enhancing your skills and supporting you every step of the way

Arborvitae Care Services Ltd (ACS) was founded in 2023 and despite being in its early stages, ACS prides itself on having a team with extensive knowledge, expertise, qualifications, and experience.

As a Support Worker:
You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people, and help towards the bright future they deserve; attending to their practical, physical and emotional needs. Safeguarding each young person at all times. You will provide a high standard of care and support, in a professional manner, to vulnerable young people, with challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties.
You will develop a good working relationship with both children and young people and other outside agencies, and be the person that each child can trust through building positive relationships.
You will be part of a team who work together to create a loving, stable environment to ensure each young person is achieving positive outcomes and learning experiences.
Requirements and Skills
· To be able to demonstrate skills of running a shift smoothly to ensure that the needs of the young people are met and that they have been actively engaged
· To work with all professionals, families, and the young people to ensure that their needs are being met
· To contribute, as part of a team, making the home a safe and caring environment and also promote their welfare and safety whilst in the home
· Candidates should be able to provide accurate report on the day to day activities of the young people
· To be able to support the homes Service Manager in the effective management of the home and staff team
· Candidates must be patient and have good listening skills
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an Ofsted Registered Childrens Home (desirable)
· Must hold a level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Children and young people (desirable)
· Enhanced DBS and on the update service essential
· Must be IT literate
· Full UK Manual Driving Licence

Rates of Pay:
*Permanent Staff rates are dependent upon age and experience
£11.50ph Support Worker plus £60 sleep in rate (Bank)
£12.50ph Senior Support Workers plus £60 sleep in rate (Bank)
£15ph Support Worker Waking Night rate (Bank)
Shifts:
Full shift is a 24hour shift:
10am-11pm, 8 hour, paid sleep from 11pm-7am (£60), 7am-10am (next day)
Work Location:
In person at our Manchester homes.
