About the role
Due to recent business expansion, RWG is seeking a Process Support Operator within the Advanced Remanufacturing Business. The successful candidate will be based at Dyce, Aberdeen and will report to the Production Supervisor. The primary function will be to Assist in the preparation of gas turbine & 3rd party components. Additionally, assist supervision with production planning / preventative maintenance and maintain housekeeping to a high standard.

An overview of your day

• Contribute towards our culture of continuous improvement.
• Thermal spray blending and light benchwork duties including deburring.
• Masking / de masking of components using various forms of masking products.
• Preparation of parts for thermal spray using blast cabinets
• Removal of coating using blast cabinets
• Maintain good housekeeping in work areas and perform other related or comparable duties as assigned (5’s)
• Comply with Company QHS&E and operational procedures.
• Ensure consumable levels are well stocked and inform supervision when consumables require re-ordering.
• Ability to work shift patterns, overtime, and swap shifts at short notice for production / customer requirements.

What we need from you

• A mechanical background is preferred however training will be provided.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• A knowledge of grit blasting / masking would be advantageous.
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• A good knowledge of HS&E procedures & COSHH assessments, etc.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Basic computer knowledge
