Quality Inspector

An exciting opportunity to join an off-site manufacturing based in Shrewsbury. As part of our continuing expansion, we are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join our Quality Department.
Key responsibilities:
  • Ensuring PODS are to the correct tolerances meeting quality standards and specifications.
  • Ensuring documentation is complete & accurate with full recording of faults.
  • Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operating procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
  • Carry out internal process and product audits.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement activities.
  • Raising of NCR’s and assisting with investigating root causes and applying corrective actions.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
  • The ability to understand and interpret technical drawings/SOP’s.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team to achieve common goals.
  • The ability to take a methodical and systematic approach to your work
  • Represent the company in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
  • Any other task deemed reasonable by supervision/Management
  • Approving or rejecting raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
  • Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
  • Promote and display the Volumetric core values.
  • Maintain polite and good communication with colleagues at all times.
  • Update and maintain inspection documents, forms, logs, conformance certificates and other records.
  • Conducting multiple stage inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Recording and reporting any defects or issues found during inspections.
  • Conducting final inspections on finished products before shipment
NO AGENCIES
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.75-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
