Registered Night Nurse

The company has extensive experience in providing high quality care to service users who have conditions related to ageing. Over the past five years it has built up expertise in caring for adults with complex healthcare needs, especially at Doves Nest Healthcare where a specialist 14 bed unit has successfully cared for people with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, advanced medical conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neuron Disease (MND), terminal conditions such as cancer and renal failure and people requiring ventilation systems
Responsibilities
The nurse will work with the clinical team to deliver high quality nursing care to our residents and:
· ensure, through effective supervision, management and a high standard of professional practice, a delivery of care, that is conducive to the clinical, spiritual, psychological, health and welfare needs of the resident is maintained
· provide advice, clinical expertise in the management of complex cases and high risk situations
· develop person centred care plans that improve resident experiences and achieve positive outcomes, incorporating risk assessments and other such relevant documentation that detail the action which needs to be taken by the care team to ensure that all aspects of the health, personal care, psychological and social care needs of the residents are met
· provide a visible, accessible and authoritative presence to staff, residents and significant others
· demonstrate that they can manage complex situations effectively, making decisions based on the overall long term impact to the home and business and not based on the benefit of a particular situation or individual
· deal with conflict in the proper setting and use outcomes as an opportunity for improvement
· resolve difficult situations and settle disputes equitably by effectively understanding others and finding a common ground and to attain a solution
· negotiate skilfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups and reach effective solutions without damaging relationships
· act in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
Qualifications & Skills
The nurse must be a first level nurse with a minimum of 2 years general nursing experience and a Valid UK NMC Pin Number
