Job description
Title of Post: Relief Care Worker (This is a Zero hours contract and work is on an 'as and when required' basis). This gives flexibility to work the hours that suit around existing commitments.
Purpose of Job:
To provide absence cover caring for residents, cooking and cleaning. You will have the opportunity to enjoy home cooked meals when on shift.
Responsible to:
Care & Support Manager
Major Tasks (Houses):

• Supporting Residents with any personal care needs
• Prepare meals and share the meal with Residents and Co-workers.
• Keep Household bedrooms and other rooms clean and tidy.
• Administer medication.

Major Tasks (Workshops):
Provide transport for Residents to appointments etc.

• Supporting the Workshop Leader with tasks/activities.
• Supporting Residents to engage with Workshop activities.
• Supporting Residents with any personal care needs.
• Set up or clear away before and after activities as required by the Workshop Leader.

Personal Specification:

• It is preferable that candidates have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities
• OR You should have a SVQ or similar training in a caring-related subject
• You should be willing to have a PVG disclosure check carried out on your behalf, as this is a legal necessity for employment within our Community.

Job Type: Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.00 per hour
