Description
Reporting to the Enabling Platforms Research Director, ABI Research seeks analysts to cover the Industrial Io T market. The role will contribute to ABI Research’s Io T Markets service, providing ongoing coverage of adopters’ demand for IIo T technologies. Successful candidates will work as a part of an ambitious team to produce premium quantitative and qualitative content and analysis.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Author syndicated research reports, market forecasts, and insights covering IIo T technologies and their use in a range of industrial markets. Coverage topics include IIo T hardware, connectivity technologies, AI/ML, and cloud & edge platforms & applications.
• Work on Io T Markets custom research and consulting projects, providing leadership on approach and methodology.
• Interview key stakeholders across the entire IIo T technology value chain including OEMs, platform providers, industrial automation vendors, service/solution providers, chip/module and sensor vendors, and network operators.
• Take ownership of ABI Research’s coverage of IIo T markets, identifying coverage gaps and expansion opportunities, advising customers on trends and competitive dynamics, and taking a lead on commercial activities.
• Represent ABI Research as a key expert in our IIo T coverage. This includes preparing presentations and participating in technology conferences, webinars, and online events.
• Be an active team member: share expertise with other ABI Research analysts and use this expertise to support additional projects and coverage areas.
• Support sales and business development activities by preparing customer-specific analysis, and by participating in key meetings with clients, prospects, and partners.

• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of a topic and process.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with technical details and understand their significance within the bigger picture.
• Demonstrated ability to swiftly identify salient topics and trends, and to structure information clearly and creatively to engage different audiences.
• Passion and enthusiasm for technology innovation is a must for this role, as is intellectual curiosity and a problem-solving attitude.
• The desire to impart knowledge, to engage in conversation, to develop interests, and to take ownership.
• Competency in Microsoft Excel: experience with formulas and model building.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University.

Location
ABI Research is fully remote in the U.S., with physical offices in the U.K. and Singapore. Analysts may be fully remote, report to an office, or operate in a hybrid role based on skills and experience.
