Senior Sales Account Executive, Asia Pacific

The Senior Sales Account Executive will work in coordination with the VP, Sales Asia and the EVP of Sales to grow sales throughout the Asia Pacific market, servicing existing clients and sourcing new business. This is an exciting, dynamic role for a results-driven sales professional with a ”go-getter” attitude and great commercial acumen. The ideal candidate will take the time to learn about the business needs and challenges facing customers and prospects to identify where ABI Research’s offerings (syndicated research and custom research and consulting) can provide tangible value.
Specific responsibilities include:
Sell the full suite of ABI Research services (syndicated research services and reports plus custom research and consulting).

Net New Sales Execution
- Establish net new commercial client relationships
- Build a pipeline that supports assigned new business goals of the region
- Identify tradeshows and conferences in the region where ABI Research analysts and sales should be involved. Work with management to establish a medium-to-long-term strategy and travel budget allocation accordingly

Account Management
- Establish strong commercial relationships with assigned clients
- Identify and convert new business opportunities within renewal accounts
- Engage clients to understand their issues and needs, then match them with the appropriate products and services
- Gather feedback from prospects and customers and share that feedback internally to help the research team develop more compelling research, increase retention rates, and win new customers
- Work with other colleagues to support client requests and renew syndicated research relationships

Consulting Business
- Develop new consulting opportunities within renewal accounts and net new accounts
- Engage with our Director of Consulting and Research Leadership on selected key custom engagement ideas
- In tandem with our consulting team, prepare and distribute proposals to prospects
- Monitor all active custom engagements throughout the delivery process to ensure customer satisfaction, anticipate potential challenges, and identify potential upsell opportunities

Additional Responsibilities
- Identify new goals for the company’s shared resources, including the marketing, client success, and SDR team
- Work with the marketing team to build regional-specific marketing campaigns and collateral, including We Chat outreach
- Guide the SDR team for business development execution within the region
- Collaborate with the client success team to secure renewals
Skills and qualifications:
The Senior Account Executive should be highly motivated and be able to manage their time and balance multiple activities. The candidate will have:
- A Hunter mentality for both new prospects and existing customers
- Strong telephone and written communication skills
- At least 3-5 years of proven sales experience selling into large enterprise accounts
- Experience selling syndicated research and consulting services and/or SAAS
- A genuine passion for technology and working in an entrepreneurial environment
- Fluency in Mandarin, while not required, is highly desired
Location
ABI Research is fully remote in the U.S., with physical offices in the U.K. and Singapore. Analysts may be fully remote, report to an office, or operate in a hybrid role based on skills and experience.
