Job Description: What You Will Do:
Responsible for the ability to program most features and test cases unattended, but lacks a complete overview of product development and operations. As a result, handovers to other team members limits productivity.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management How You Will Do It:
Completes most features and user stories including test cases and automation unattended.
Learns more complex software engineering practices such as domain driven design, test driven development, operations, and security.
Contributes to agile ceremonies, leads demos and presentations, helps new engineers learn established norms, and participates in technology communities.
Participates in system design decisions and learns how these decisions impact the product as a whole.
Learns to support production systems and understands how observed events and failures impact the product Qualifications You Will Need: The Basics:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, Information Security, Information Technology or related
Experience in Information Technology (software) Engineering or related

Experience building Java based applications
Experience with consuming and producing REST APIs
Experience working in a highly complex and scaled global technology organization
Time spent working for an organization in financial services, specifically payment services
Experience as part of an Agile engineering or development team
Strong understanding of object-oriented principles with an ability to write clean code
Experience working with a relational database
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins preferred
Proven skills in high availability and scalability design, as well as performance monitoring
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or Maria DB
Experience developing containerized applications, for example Kubernetes
Experience in working in a cloud environment such as AWS
Understanding of messaging systems like Rabbit MQ
Understanding of how to build secure applications
Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
