Promethean Particles Ltd
Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Nottingham
FULL TIME
October 9, 2024
Do you want to use your manufacturing process engineering skills to help fight climate change?
Working as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Promethean Particles, you will be part of a team which takes the latest chemical manufacturing innovations and turns them into the equipment, methodologies, and systems that will realise our vision – decarbonising the world by unleashing the potential of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
You will have direct involvement in all parts of manufacturing engineering, taking responsibility for the optimisation of our pilot plant, and working with the R&D and Operations teams to achieve full-scale production.
If you’ve ever been frustrated by how slow manufacturing development can be, or if you’ve ever wanted to take responsibility for the whole manufacturing lifecycle rather than just part of it, this is the job for you.
We’re a fast-moving startup, so you need to be resourceful and pragmatic, adapting quickly in a rapidly-evolving area. Our team is driven by innovation. We believe the energy transition can be accelerated by the right people harnessing their ingenuity and passion.
This role will excite you if you are constantly seeking new manufacturing knowledge and embrace the pioneering spirit of doing things that at a scale that have never been done before.
You need to have a keen interest in the application of innovative technologies, across a broad range of manufacturing unit operations.
The role involves working closely with Promethean’s operations and R&D teams on the company’s current manufacturing processes. This involves the operation and continuous improvement of a metal-organic framework (MOF) production facility, as well as engineering responsibility for the site’s existing pilot-scale facilities, and the development and implementation of future technologies and systems.
This role will lead the continuous improvement and development of Promethean’s operations, quality, and process safety methodologies and systems.
Requirements
We’re looking for applications from people with the following:-
The successful candidate should be excited at the prospect of playing a central role in Promethean’s mission to deploy its technology to unleash the power of MOFs. They should recognise the need to work with intent and urgency in this rapidly evolving area, prioritising needs above wants, and appreciate the importance of effective teamwork and open communication.
As a growing small-scale-up, we think it is critical to have a competitive ‘total compensation’ philosophy allowing us to attract and retain the very best talent for our team. Our current benefits package includes:
As part of our dedication to the diversity of our workforce, Promethean is committed to equal opportunities in employment. We encourage every employee to bring their whole self to work every day, not only to deliver more value, but also to have a more fulfilling career.
Promethean provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or marital status. Promethean complies with applicable legislation governing non-discrimination in employment. Promethean expressly prohibits any form of employee harassment.
