Job Overview:
We are seeking a Service Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating our community based day service activity program as well as the staff needed to keep the program safe and successful. In addition you would need to be able to meet the direct needs of our clients, including feeding, delivering personal care etc
Duties:
- Driving the mini bus.
-coordinate transport plan.
-promote a person centre approach
- Communicate effectively with customers, staff, parents and other professionals.
- plan and deliver an outcome-based program of activity based on our customers wants and needs and take responsibility for the overall success of the outcomes achieved
- oversee, manage and supervise staff within the team.
- Ensure necessary paperwork is completed on time.
Experience:
- Previous experience is essential
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working in a care environment is desirable

· Liaise regularly with the Senior Management Team to ensure a positive relationship.
· Ensure that all LSS rules, procedures and directives are understood and followed to in full, both by yourself and your staff.
· Manage the project and ensure the profitability of the centre, by ensuring that all money, credit cards and documents are stored safely and securely and that financial records are completed on time.
· Maintain accurate accounts and ensure the financial success of the project, controlling expenditure to within agreed budgets, leisure costs, managing petty cash, and reconciling expenditure at the end of the period.
Staff:
· Build a dedicated support team that are able to encourage the clients to challenge themselves and develop their skills
· Conduct regular staff meetings; carry out / highlight necessary training and appraisals reporting any related issues to the Director.
· Monitor staff working hours, amend staff schedules, where required.
· Ensure adequate levels of staffing throughout the project assisting with clients’ arrivals and departures.
· Make staff available for other projects or duties as directed by the Director.
Clients:
-welcome new clients and staff on the first day, introducing the team and explaining the programme.
· Create and review risk assessments as needed.
· Ensure that staff have clear understanding of their roles and LSS procedures.
· Continuously check every client is satisfied with the programme (while staying within budget) when necessary to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and act on feedback.
Day-to-day:
· Manage the daily programme monitoring the performance of the LSS team as well as the satisfaction levels of the clients.
· Appropriately handle welfare and disciplinary issues during the course including clients illness and staff issues.
· Ensure the safety and welfare of the clients at all times, liaising with the Deputy/ Director as appropriate.
· Report regularly to the Director on day-to-day events during the project.
· Take overall responsibility for disciplinary matters in line with the policy and in consultation with the Director where necessary.
Safeguarding:
- Responsible for all on-site safeguarding. Keep a log of safeguarding and welfare incidents.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
