Progression beyond pay point £40,221, up to the maximum of £44,428 is subject to the Authority’s ‘Social Work Experienced Practitioner Progression Framework’**
**Experienced Practitioner Progression Framework
The ‘Framework’ recognises Social Workers who have completed their consolidation programme, and who routinely undertake complex social work practice. It also recognises those Social Workers who undertake relevant post qualifying, CPD programmes and research, which could include being a Practice Educator who has 2nd and 3rd year Students, or an AMHP licenced and practicing within the Authority.

We have a vacancy for a Social Worker in our children’s social work team in Ammanford - a busy social work team with responsibility for child protection, care experienced children and children in need of care and support.

We are looking for applicants with a Social Work qualification and experience of working with children, young people and families in a social care role.
As a newly qualified Social Worker, you will have the best start with dedicated support to grow into your social work career. We also recognise the immense value of experience and the complex work experienced Social Workers undertake. You will have the opportunity to progress in social work practice (outside of a management pathway) via our ‘Experienced Practitioner Progression Framework’. Successful progression offers the higher range salary reward.
We can offer you a comprehensive induction, regular professional supervision, hybrid and flexible working, and a supportive professional development programme.
