We are seeking a Tableau Developer to join Morgan Stanley on an initial 6 months contract in Glasgow. You should have extensive Tableau experience including data preparation techniques, charts, filters, table calculations, LODs, Data visualization concepts and mapping capabilities as well as being an expert in being able to write SQL.
Job Description
As a Tableau Developer, you will be acting as a liaison between business clients, development teams, and technology management. In this role you will be responsible for working with stakeholders to analyze business needs, authoring requirements documentation, and reviewing the testing of developed solutions, and planning and tracking project delivery and creating BI solutions. The ideal candidate should have the skills listed below but in addition should be a self-driven, dedicated individual who works well in a team and thinks and acts strategically.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as a liaison between business clients and development team in all phases of development from solution definition to deployment.
- Perform feasibility analysis, scope projects, prioritize deliverables, recommend alternative solutions, and project strategies.
- Translate high-level business requirements on multiple, complex requests into detailed functional and system specifications.
- Work with data management team and data providers to communicate and define any data and reporting requirements.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and change management requests.
- Create project plans, track and communicate project status, and escalate to business clients, technology management, and development team leads any key risks.
- Design and Develop BI solutions using Tableau.
- Proven hands-on experience as a Tableau Developer with strong understanding of data analytics, business intelligence concepts.
- Proficient with different Tableau data preparation techniques, charts, filters, table calculations, LODs, Data visualization concepts and mapping capabilities.
- Expert in collecting product requirements and translating them into highly visual dashboards that are interactive and easily digestible for end users.
- Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Relevant and substantial work experience with business requirements definition and management (end to end), structured analysis, process design, use case documentation.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Expert in writing SQL to perform data querying and analysis.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions, roles and able to interact effectively with all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to identify where focus is needed and bring clarity to business objectives, requirements, and priorities.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £400.00-£500.00 per day
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Glasgow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
