Technical Product Manager - Telecoms

Job Summary
As a key member of the Product Management Group (PMG) you will be product managing IQGeo’s Network Manager Telecom for both Saa S and enterprise customers in conjunction with the Group PM for Telecoms. You will need to create strong working relationships within the PMG, engineering and other functional groups to help define and execute product vision and strategy. This is a business-facing role engaging directly with customers to develop\refine product requirements. Candidates must understand the target customers domain, business, use cases, the IQGeo product functionality, and any constraints involved with making great products that customers want to buy.
The Technical Product Manager will work closely with the Engineering team to deliver compelling product releases that provide quality and value to end users. This will include: gathering, defining and prioritizing market and customer requirements, contributing to definition of the product roadmap and executing that roadmap, working closely with engineering, sales, delivery, marketing, and customer support to ensure recurring revenue order goals and customer business goals are met.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Be responsible for prioritizing feature backlogs, coordinated with the Head of Product Management and other PMG team members.
- Regularly validate that on-going product development is delivering value and meeting the outcomes of the specific workflows\use case(s).
- Be the Voice of the Customer, understand what customers need, will buy, and their business imperatives.
- Present current state of development to internal and external stakeholders to obtain feedback and reflect this feedback in subsequent user story refinement and prioritization.
- Champion the vision and strategy of the products and be able to articulate the roadmap and value propositions to all parts of the organization.
- Maintain an understanding of the IQGeo technology stack and how that underpins all customers.
- Understand the competition and their positioning and respond to this in the product vision and roadmap.
- Understand and monitor the telecoms, utilities, geospatial and IT\cloud industries\markets to ensure emerging trends and technologies are considered within the roadmap.
- Present and discuss products and related roadmaps with customers and at internal events. Participate in industry events to increase IQGeo’s market visibility.
- Work with the PMG to implement and follow appropriate product management processes to ensure smooth and timely operation of all product management related processes.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Subject matter expert in telecoms and utilities with the ability to clearly articulate typical operational business processes.
- Have a solid knowledge\understanding of cloud-related technologies and approaches to drive Saa S products in the correct direction.
- Ideally proficient with product management software, e.g., Atlassian Suite (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, etc.).
- Experience with software engineering and agile software development lifecycles.
- Ability to balance competing priorities of stakeholders.
- Understand new technologies and their impacts and identify new opportunities based on emerging trends.
- Effective communication with remote/global teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer facing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and strategy development skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Office 365.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) or GIS-related subject.
- 5+ years of industry/technical experience ideally related to GIS.
- Ideally knowledge of telecoms and\or utility domains.
Eligibility Requirements
- This is a global position, therefore successful candidates must be willing to travel globally.
- Location preferred to be UK. Option to work from company office in Cambridge, UK.
