Mieyume are looking for a number of people to join our talent bank as a Temporary Production Operative, at this exciting time of growth for the rest of 2024 and into 2025.
Suitable candidates will be invited to join an assessment day and if successful will be able to be added to our talent bank register of suitable temporary workers. When future starts dates are available for fixed term contracts, successful applicants will be contacted at that time.
The Packaging Operatives work within our production environment assisting with the packaging of products, to ensure that the quality of the product is as required by both the Company and the Customer and to minimise rejects and wastage costs wherever possible.
Role and key responsibilities

• Work with the operation of filling and packaging machinery, in compliance with Company regulations and guidelines, with close supervision.
• Adopts a flexible attitude towards work, with an ability and willingness to move between jobs and production lines.
• Fostering strong relationships with all departments.
• Ensures compliance with Quality Standards and Specifications, reporting quality defects to the Team Leader upon identification.
• Adheres to company hygiene policies and procedures. Maintains a high level of personal hygiene and adheres to good housekeeping procedures, wiping up spillages and ensuring that equipment is free from contamination.

Experience and Competencies

• Previous experience working in a busy, fast paced factory environment desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
• A strong team player.
• Able to demonstrate ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with fluency in written and spoken English
• Have a positive, flexible attitude towards work.
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to identify health and safety and environmental issues
• A key eye to detail.

Shifts available 07:00-15:00 & 15:00 – 23:00
